It's caused by disable services - I had the same problem with MS automatic updates. That way programmes have an XP feel to them and actually, you know, work. After that, I went back to the control panel and, voila - a successful restore point was created. I didn't have to restart the computer to make this work, but that might be necessary for some. Hi, Tried Vssadmin but the format was wrong. So tried the options as listed in SnapShot "Snap". I tried each option and then took SnapShots of the results for you to see. Ah vista doesnt have the delete command. I have attached to vss files for vista from my reg backup tool.
