Windows xp explorer menu bar disappeared
I tried the ctrl shift win B and it worked and reappeared! Hopefully it will stay, Nope it came back 10 minutes later!!!! This has worked for me thank you so much!
It was driving me crazy! I have no idea what caused it but the file explorer bit at the top was just a grey or white band, could not close anything down or move the open window to another dual monitor. Hopefully it won't return. Get answers from your peers along with millions of IT pros who visit Spiceworks. Hey Spiceheads, I have one that's been a bit maddening for me.

Also make sure to make a backup of the entry incase you are deleting the entry instead of renaming.
